The 2019 Black Ribbon Day Conference was organized by Marcus Kolga and held at The University of Toronto’s Isabel Bader Theater and featured speeches by Bob Rae, Chrystia Freeland, Chris Alexander and a keynote speech by Russian opposition leader and chess Grandmaster, Garry Kasparov. A panel discussion was moderated by Professor Robert Austin with the participation of, Estonian Memory Institute Board Member, Sandra Vokk, Belarusian opposition leader, Andrei Sannikov, Professor Aurel Braun and Lithuanian journalist Marius Laurinavičius.
